Kristine has been playing softball this year on a more competetive league. The girls on the team are junior high and high school aged girls and she is the youngest on the team.
She really wants to play high school softball and so stepping into a better league was necessary. They play fast pitch softball which is different this year because she's only played slow pitch up until this year.
They also have the abilility to steal and slide. So Kristine has had to learn alot of new softball skills this year and she's improved alot over the season.
Ready in the outfield. She also played third base.
Kristine had some really good strong hits this year.
Mouthful of sunflower seeds.
Sunflower seed shells all over my house - we had to have a rule that seeds could only be eaten when she was outside at softball games.
Leading off of bases was a new skill this year as well.
Good thing she trained a little with cross country running. Although for the first bit of the season we had to teach her there was a difference between pacing yourself in xcountry and sprinting that is required in softball. Pacing yourself around the bases wasn't really going over to well in the beginning.
We are proud of her and hope she is proud of herself for setting a goal and working her way towards it.
